David Valdiviezo

David joined the mySidewalk team in mid-2019 from Brinshore Development, where he worked as a real estate development associate working on the development of large-scale, multi-phase, mixed-income, and mixed-use communities. Prior to joining Brinshore Development, David worked at the City of Kansas City, Missouri as a Housing Planner. In that role, David was part of a team that allocated and tracked approximately $8 million in annual HUD entitlement funds. During his time at the City, David served on several important policy initiatives including Opportunity Zones designation, the renewal of Kansas City’s Housing Policy, implementation of the Affirmatively Furthering Fair Housing Plan, the City’s Bike Master Plan, and the Central City Economic Development Board. David earned his Masters in Urban Planning from the University of Kansas. He completed a B.A. in Government and Political Science, and a B.S. in Global and International Studies, writing a thesis exploring the informal development of housing in favelas across Latin America.
